Explore La Jolla’s Secret Gardens
The La Jolla Historical Society presents its 15th Annual Secret Garden Tour
Entering through often secluded garden gates to view private gardens each spring has become an annual rite of passage for the La Jolla Historical Society. This year’s Secret Garden Tour is no exception as the Tour celebrates its 15th Anniversary on May 18, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Six exquisite gardens announced the day of the Tour, will be featured thanks to the homeowners who have agreed to open up their secret sanctuaries for the self-guided tour. The coveted Platinum Tour will feature a brunch at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa with shuttle transportation and a guided tour of each garden, including an additional garden open exclusively to Platinum Tour guests.
The Tour is further enhanced each year by delightful music in the gardens performed by local musicians, displays by local designers and La Jolla artists creating paintings which capture each home and garden’s unique beauty.
All proceeds from the annual Secret Garden Tour provide vital funding for the La Jolla Historical Society to accomplish its goal of discovery, collection and preservation of La Jolla’s heritage.
The La Jolla Secret Garden self-guided tour is $40 for Society members and $50 for non-members. Self-guided tickets will be available the day of the tour for $60. The Platinum Tour is $140 for Society members and $150 for non-members until April 15. After April 15, Platinum Tickets will cost $175. Visit www.lajollahistory.org
